H T Duncan Proprietor until 1952. It still looked like this in 1959, the Callies Hall beside on left is where many dances and balls were held. Harry Duncan bought the cafe from the Sanphys in 1937 and was the proprietor until Bill Tudehope took over mid 1952. This photo would have been taken no later than the early 1940s. Bill Martin painted the building mid-1940s. There was a high fence erected along the side between the hall and cafe around the same time. Harry said the fence was put there to prevent the "non-payers" entering through the side door!
